Bumbleride Stroller
Bumbleride: Taking Strollers Personally
Inspired by the birth of their first child, Matthew and Emily Reichardt founded Bumbleride back in 2004. The idea was to offer the sleek styling of European strollers, along with the practical details that a busy American parent needs, at an extremely affordable price.
The family has grown and now the Reichardts are parents of three, dealing with new challenges and setting new goals for their personal and professional lives. The Bumbleride team is dedicated to constantly improving the functionality of their designs, sweeping parenting associations and publications awards for their strollers – every year since 2009.
What a Bumbleride Stroller Can Do for You
Depending on your lifestyle, there is an array of strollers to choose from: beginning with the cute and stable Queen B pram, we graduate to Bumbleride Flite (a stroller made mainly for the city) and Flyer (with the unique reversible handle bar) – or we can choose to ride Bumbleride Indie, a jogging stroller, or Indie Twin, a side-by-side stroller for those blessed with a bigger family.
Bumbleride strollers are very light-weight: a Flite weighs only 13 pounds, while the Indie Twin, which is, as you'd expect, the heaviest of all, is no more than 34 pounds.
Another big plus is the suspension system: all Bumbleride strollers are designed to ride smoothly and to provide maximum comfort for their little passengers – and for the hands that are driving them. Of course, there are differences: Indie and Indie Twin, for example, are all-terrain jogging strollers, featuring bigger radius and swiveling wheels for better steering, while the Queen B is more classic with reduced maneuverability, as prams go. Both have air-inflated tires and independent wheel suspension to guarantee an undisturbed ride (and, why not, sleep) even on rough terrains.
All Bumbleride strollers can be folded with a couple simple moves, and they become really compact for easy storage and transportation. Most of them can have their wheels pop off to save more space, while the Flite features a side handle to let you lift and carry it in a snap.
All models are car seat compatible with a universal care seat adapter strap.
Bumbleride Stroller Types
Bumbleride Queen B Stroller : A classic vintage design with a reversible seat, a standard roomy bassinet (can be reversed too) and a large, adjustable canopy. The optional toddler seat allows Queen B to grow with your family – be careful not to exceed the 65-pound maximum overall capacity.
Bumbleride Flyer Reversible Handle Stroller with 7" Wheels : A one-of-a-kind stroller with a reversible handle bar that allows you to see your baby without having to unlatch and reverse the seat – as mom to a lively toddler, you want to make your life as simple as possible, ain’t that so?
Bumbleride 2011 Flite Lightweight Compact Travel Stroller : An extremely light umbrella stroller, one of the few that can turn into a travel system, or even into a light-weight pram with the addition of the appropriate Bumbleride carrycot.
Bumbleride Indie Stroller : The all-terrain stroller with the huge canopy (new with UV lining), adjustable handle height, large storage basket and, of course, a jogging strap because you still want to keep fit.
Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller : All the functionalities of Indie, with the added benefit of an independent seating system which allows you to accommodate each individual child according to their character and needs.
Bumbleride 2011 Flite Stroller (Movement Edition) : Designed for Indie and Flite, this edition's main novelty consists in the water-resistant sport fabrics, helping your child remain dry and clean.
Bumbleride Natural: Again for Indie and Flite, this eco-friendly edition is made of recycled materials on the outside and a fiber mixture including bamboo for the seat lining. Bamboo helps keep moisture away, regulates temperature and inhibits bacterial growth, while it is much softer than other fabrics.
Bumbleride Stroller Accessories
Non-PVC Rain Shield: Transparent and ventilated, it is designed to fit all Bumbleride models.
Latching Carrycot: Designed for the Indie and Indie Twin models, the 2010 edition also fits Bumbleride Flyer. With an extendable canopy, ergonomic mattress pad, a zip-on cover and a pair of sturdy carrying handles for easy transportation.
Snack Pack: It comes with an adapter bar to fit every stroller model (not for Queen B pram). Water-proof inside lining, two compartments, zip-up cover and easy release Velcro flaps make up a clever design that comes into various color combinations.
Car Seat Adapter & Maxi Cosi Car Seat Adapter: Depending on the type of car seat, the adapter latches onto the frame of the stroller, ensuring a safe car trip. Standard accessory for some models, optional for others.
Other optional accessories include: the Queen B toddler seat, a travel case for the collapsed stroller, bumper bar, foot-muff and liner.
